Punjab’s Bureaucratic Shake-Up: Key Changes in Provincial Administration

The Punjab government reshuffled the provincial bureaucracy on Saturday. According to a notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department,Nabeel Ahmad Awan (PAS/ BS-22), Chairman, Planning and Development Board, Punjab is hereby transferred and directed to report to Services and General Administration Department, for further orders. Ali Bahadur Qazi (PAS/BS-21), Secretary to Punjab Government, Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Department is hereby transferred, with immediate effect and posted as Secretary (Archives and Libraries Wing) of SandGAD, vice Ms Silwat Saeed (PAS/BS- 20), transferred. The post of Secretary (Archives and Libraries Wing) of SandGAD, Govt of the Punjab shall remain upgraded from BS-20 to BS-21 as personal to Ali Bahadur Qazi (PAS/BS-21) and as long as it is held by him. Dr Naeem Rauf (PAS/ BS-21), Secretary to Government of the Punjab, Energy Department, is hereby transferred, with immediate effect and posted as Chairman, Planning and Development Board, Punjab, under Section 9 of PCS Act, 1974, vice Mr. Nabeel Ahmad Awan (PAS/BS-22), transferred. Farid Ahmad Tarar (PAAS/BS-20), Secretary to Government of the Punjab, Tourism Archaeology and Museum Department, is transferred, with immediate effect and posted as Secretary to Government of the Punjab, Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Department, vice Ali Bahadur Qazi.
